We are delighted to invite manufacturers, national authorities, researchers, and all stakeholders engaged in the regulation of Plant Protection Products (PPP) under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 to the Annual Eastern Europe Regulatory Conference 2026.
The conference will provide a comprehensive overview of the current situation in the EU plant protection products regulatory field under Regulation (EC) 1107/2009, with a special focus on both ongoing challenges and emerging developments that are shaping the regulatory landscape.
Conference highlights will include:
- Impact of the European Green Deal & Sustainable Use of PPPs – policy goals vs. regulatory realities.
- Digitalisation of labelling, dossiers and regulatory procedures – harmonisation, efficiencies, and data transparency.
- Mediation of science–policy–society debates – improving communication, trust, and stakeholder engagement.
- Sustainable PPP use in the context of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) – enforcement and monitoring.
- New models for data sharing and joint submissions – potential efficiencies and confidentiality challenges.
- Harmonisation of Data Requirements & Mutual Recognition – Streamlining submissions and enhancing cross-border cooperation.
- Climate change impacts on PPP regulation – risk assessment adaptations for emerging pests and new use patterns.
- Country Reports from representatives of different CA representatives with advice for applicants
The event aims to bring together regulators, industry representatives, scientists, and other stakeholders to discuss both persistent regulatory challenges and forward-looking trends. By combining perspectives from national authorities with EU-level insights, the conference will highlight practical strategies for navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
